I had the pleasure of working with Emily for 2+ years during our overlap at VistaPrint. Wow, Emily is an amazingly talented designer with infinite potential. First and foremost her craft is impeccable—from big picture thinking to detailed design, her work was always smart, on brand, and beautifully executed. She showed a deep understanding of our customers, being comfortable in both quant and qual, generation, synthesis, and consumption. She had a nuanced understanding of the VistaPrint business from the site, through to our factories, and could speak to it related to her design decisions. She delivered work that was impactful, drove positive outcomes, and continues to be referenced as a gold standard even after she left VistaPrint. I'd be lucky to work with Emily again.

Emily was instrumental in building not just the design system itself, but also the culture around it: evangelizing it as an accelerator, pushing for sitewide adoption, and making sure VistaPrint’s own system could outshine any third-party off-the-shelf offering. During her tenure, it went from being an under-resourced project to one that our VP of Design made a top priority for hiring.

Emily went above and beyond the boundaries of the design system, taking it upon herself to initiate a culture of design reviews among our designers, a group that had been too often siloed; she strove to build a culture of a unified, sitewide UX vision.
